OMG, I Am So Tired!

Dog tired Cato.

It’s been another long day and it’s raining and boy am I tired! My dad took me for a walk, I begged for treats, had my dinner, and brushed my teeth. Now I have to take a nap before I go to bed. I have to go to bed every night at 9:30 or I get whiney and pushy. It’s tough being a dog, especially a spoiled dog!

I Think I Deserve a Treat

Cato

Sometimes, when I want a treat, which is most of the time, I just stare at my dad, until he gives me one. I usually don’t bark if I want something I just stare. My dad has to ask me what I want. When he says. “do you want to pee?” I bark and he lets me out to pee. If he says, “do you want a treat?” I go over to where my treats are kept. If he says, “do you want to go to bed?” I run upstairs and hop on the bed. I have my dads vey well trained.

Just Waiting for Something to Fall!

Waiting and Hoping for something to fall!

I have 3 favorite spots in our house. The bedroom where I love to sleep on the bed. The basement, where I can watch the sump pump. And my all-time favorite, the kitchen. Cato’s favorite spot I think it the bed, or any place where both of my dads are at the same time.

I am rarely away from the kitchen when it is occupied by one of my dads. Of course, I am as close to the kitchen table as I can get during mealtime. At breakfast my dad, Steve shares his morning banana with me, and sometimes with Cato, if he isn’t being picky. My dads always try to give us healthy treats, but once and a while we get a piece of meat or, our favorite pizza crusts.

My brother Cato is not as vigilant as I am when it comes to looking for the odd piece of food that could fall of the table or counter. He usually just lies under the table sleeping until he hears my mouth chewing. Then he sits up and waits for something to go his way.

In the picture above you can see me, Lucky, on the left, and Cato, on the right watching every move our dad Kevin is making, just in case, he drops something as he prepares a charcuterie board for a party. Unfortunately, we didn’t get a thing. Oh well, next time!

My dads are always calling me a pig for constantly looking for something to eat. But as I see it, I am only helping the floor stay clean by scarfing up any food before it hits the floor. It’s a job that requires a lot of patience!

Lucky’s View from Under the Kitchen Table

This is what my dad’s can see when they are eating at the kitchen table. I squeeze in between the table and whoever is sitting there. Sometimes I get lucky and they give me something or a crumb drops!

I’m Watching you!

From his vantage point on the couch my brother Cato can watch our human parents while they are in the kitchen cooking or eating. If a morsel of food falls to the floor of if a bag is opened, especially our treats, we can be there to scarf it up in a second! Do I look hungry?

I’m Watching You!

Cato

Every time one of my humans sit at the kitchen table Lucky and I watch them in case they are eating something. As soon as we hear the noise of bags or boxes opening or the we see any kind of food or snacks we immediately run to the table. Neither one of us want to have our humans eat alone!
