Cato and Lucky would like to wish everyone a Happy National Puppy Day. Today we’re getting pampered, just like any other day, haha! We may not be puppies anymore, but we still think and act like puppies. Treat your fur babies extra nice today!
Hey, just because the weather is cold, rainy, and damp and I have to stay inside, doesn’t mean I can’t be cool. My dads caught me chillin’ out on the couch waiting for a snack to come my way. Not only humans can be cool dudes, but we dogs can be cool dudes (or in my case cool dudesses) too. So, grab yourself a pair of shades, wrap yourself in a fleece blanket, ignore the crappy weather, and chill out!
Welcome to our birthday party. Eight years ago we were born into this world and 2 months later we joined our dads’ family as their favorite kids. I know we don’t look happy, but our dads make us wear these silly hats and pose for photos before we get to eat our cake. Little sister Lucky scarfed down her cake in no time, while Cato, the gentleman he is, took his time. As always we enjoyed our party and especially the cake and the treats. Wish you could have joined us. Thanks, Dads!
It’s 19 degrees and snowing heavily. We’ve had our dinner, brushed our teeth, and been outside to pee. One of our dads is in the basement playing computer games and the other is sitting across from us on the other couch watching television. We have had our dinner and brushed our teeth. And we’ve been out in the cold snow to pee. We’re all comfy on our couch (not really ours, we have to share). What more could we ask for? Maybe more treats, but that is wishful thinking. What a life we have!
Usually, we wake up, go downstairs and run out to pee without any problems, but not today! We got a snowstorm last night and it dumped 18 inches of snow on our house. We usually like the snow, but we were surprised by how much fell overnight. Cato was lazy and peed on the deck and I managed to make it off the deck to pee. Nevertheless, it was a short bathroom break for both of us. I’m sure once we get used to it, we’ll be out playing in it this afternoon.
We really feel sorry for our little friends, like dachshunds and chihuahuas, who would be buried by all of that snow. We hope your humans shovel a pee path for you all. Otherwise please stay safe and enjoy the white stuff. Spring is only 3 months away, and then we can play in the mud!
Tonight it is snowing and the temperature is only 9 degrees. The only way Cato and I are going outside is to poop or pee, so I’m curled up, nice and cozy on the couch, waiting until it’s time to go to bed.
I can’t help thinking about the poor dogs and cats that don’t have a home to sleep in on nights like these. So, all you humans, please don’t leave your pets outside in freezing cold weather. They deserve to be as warm as you are.
Well it’s finally Christmas Eve and we’re anxious to have Santa come to our house. Our dads insisted on taking a Christmas photo and we weren’t happy about it. Please excuse us if we don’t look that happy, but we’re too excited.
We would like to say Merry Christmas to all of our pet friends and their parents. We hope you have a warm and happy holiday. Please, at this joyous time of the year, remember all of those pets who don’t have a family to share with on this holiday and every day of the year.
I have 3 favorite spots in our house. The bedroom where I love to sleep on the bed. The basement, where I can watch the sump pump. And my all-time favorite, the kitchen. Cato’s favorite spot I think it the bed, or any place where both of my dads are at the same time.
I am rarely away from the kitchen when it is occupied by one of my dads. Of course, I am as close to the kitchen table as I can get during mealtime. At breakfast my dad, Steve shares his morning banana with me, and sometimes with Cato, if he isn’t being picky. My dads always try to give us healthy treats, but once and a while we get a piece of meat or, our favorite pizza crusts.
My brother Cato is not as vigilant as I am when it comes to looking for the odd piece of food that could fall of the table or counter. He usually just lies under the table sleeping until he hears my mouth chewing. Then he sits up and waits for something to go his way.
In the picture above you can see me, Lucky, on the left, and Cato, on the right watching every move our dad Kevin is making, just in case, he drops something as he prepares a charcuterie board for a party. Unfortunately, we didn’t get a thing. Oh well, next time!
My dads are always calling me a pig for constantly looking for something to eat. But as I see it, I am only helping the floor stay clean by scarfing up any food before it hits the floor. It’s a job that requires a lot of patience!
We usually only beg from our human parents, but we are asking for help from our readers. My dad renewed this website for another year. He was considering canceling our blog because of the cost, but we begged for one more chance.
He has to pay $120 a year to be able to publish our blog so everyone can see what we are up to. Unfortunately, my dad cannot advertise with Adsense or Infolinks to help pay for maintaining our blog, unless he pays a lot more money to upgrade. He’s retired and is not a millionaire. It’s not as though he wants to earn thousands of dollars a month, even though that would be nice. He did manage to place a couple of ads for Amazon and Chewey, but we don’t think they really work. WordPress does place ads on our site and we have earned all of 3 cents in the past year.
My dad has decided to try giving our blog another year to see if he can afford to pay for the blog and buy us treats, at the same time. He is placing a plea for donations to help pay for our subscription and website and hopes some people reading about us will help and chip in a few bucks as a donation. So if you want to continue reading about us and buy us some treats please help and make a donation.
